Terrific Transformation!

 Kia ora bloggers!

Erina here,

How has your week been going? Well, mines has been Terrific! There has been lots of fun and engaging task to complete! And scene as it is the second to last week of the school year, they have been simple and fun, which is my favorite way to learn new things, and speaking of fun and simple tasks, my favorite task of the week was some maths work. To be exact, some transformation work.

Do you know what transformation is? Well, transformation is a marked change in form, nature, or appearance. There are 4 different things that transformation covers, Translation, Reflection, Rotation, and Symmetry. My favorite was Reflection because I could choose my own images to reflect.

Have you ever done a transformation task? If you have what was your favorite, Translation, Reflection, Rotation, or symmetry?

Shoelace Central๐Ÿ‘Ÿ

 Kia ora bloggers!

How has your week been going?

Well, mines has been great! We have been doing heaps of fun tasks to keep us working hard and learning more interesting facts. One of those tasks is kiwi innovators. You are probably wondering, What is an innovator? Well, an innovator is a person who introduces new methods, ideas, or products. A kiwi innovator is the same thing as an innovator, just the person that created the product is from New Zealand. And my class had to create something new and helpful to us humans. Me and my friend, Annabel, created Self-Tying Shoelaces. Our business name was Shoelace Central. It was really fun creating and designing the shoe, and would happily do it again. Overall, I really enjoyed doing this task with one of my closest friends and would very much love to do it again.

Have you ever had to design something? If you have designed something, what was it?

 Kia ora bloggers!

Erina here!

How has your week been going? Well, mine has been pretty great! There has been lots of fun activities and options to keep my class entertained and happy. One of those activities is a novel study. My class got to choose a book to do a novel study on. The options were Wonder, Gangster Granny, Danny the champion of the world, and Fing. I choose Wonder to do a novel study on and it turned out to be quite fun! There were heaps of fun create tasks such as Minecraft, Creating a poster, and much more. I found the Minecraft activity the funnest but it was very hard to choose. Overall, I really liked doing the novel study and would love to do it again.

Have you ever read Wonder or watched the movie before? If you have what is your favorite scene?

Spectacular Speeches

 Kia ora bloggers!

How has your week been going? Well, mine has been great! There have been so many fun activities to do one of those being speeches. I did my speech on Climate Change And How To Stop It. I choose Climate Change because I was very interested in the topic and I learnt many new facts from my research, such as by just turning off a light switch when you exit a room you can stop energy from getting wasted and by growing your own food you can also reduce climate change and many other things. I surprised myself that there were so many little things that you can do to help reduce climate change. Overall I found that writing my speech was actually a lot funnier than I thought it was going to be.

Have you ever written a speech before?

Climate Change & How To Stop It

Climate change.

Terrible isn’t it?

The rise in Earth’s temperature and the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. It's almost scary.

But there are many ways to stop it such as turning off a light switch when you exit a room, growing your own food, not turning the air conditioner or heater on when you can just open the windows, and much more. There are many ways to reduce climate change and this is what this speech is about, Climate change and how to stop it.

What is climate change?

Climate change is a change in the typical weather for a region or country,  such as high and low temperatures and amount of rain over a long period of time. Scientists have observed all of that and found out that Earth is warming, and fast. In fact, many of the warmest years on record have happened in the last 2 decades!

How can we reduce climate change?

There are many ways of reducing climate change such as turning off the light switch when you exit a room, growing your own food, not turning the air conditioner or heater on when you can just open the windows, and much more.

By changing your daily routine by just the simple things you can make a big impact on the earth and become part of the solution and not the pollution.

Why should we help to reduce climate change?

There are many reasons why we should reduce climate change such as new jobs and better jobs,

cleaner air and more efficient public transport systems in cities, new technologies such as electric or plug-in hybrid cars, energy-efficient homes or offices with intelligent heating and cooling systems and much more, and the best thing about it is that there is still time to change the human ways and try something more eco friendly.

Conclusion

In conclusion, climate change is very bad and there are many simple ways to reduce it so make sure that you are part of the solution and not the pollution.

Crazy Cardioid's!๐Ÿค

 Kia ora fellow bloggers!

What have you been doing this week? Well, mines has been pretty crazy! But one thing that stood out was maths. Maths because we learned how to draw a cardioid. A cardioid is a shape that is a bit like a rounded heart. It was really fun to draw and the finished product was awesome! The cardioid almost made it look like the paper had a hole in it! Overall it was really fun trying something new for a change and I am very proud of myself.

๐Ÿ›Eating Bugs!๐Ÿ›

 Kia ora fellow bloggers!

What have you been doing this week? Well, my week has been jam-packed full because there was so much that we had to do in just 1 week! This week was the last week of the term and my class had a lot to finish up, one of those tasks that we had to finish up was an animation that I and 2 other of my friends made. It was about 3 girls that crash-landed on mars and had to eat space bugs to survive, and let's just say that things get a little crazy. Doing this animation was really fun because I got to do it with some of my best friends and it let my imagination run wild with thoughts and cool ideas that I never would of thought of with out doing this animation. Have you ever eaten a bug before?

Eww, apple rotting experiment๐ŸŽ

Kia ora bloggers!
What have you been doing today?
Well I haven't been able to do much because my country is still in level 4 lock-down so its still online school. One of are tasks was to create an apple rotting experiment. All of the details are on the slide. I have only had the experiment set up for 2 days so far and its already looking really interesting. I had 4 containers, 1 container with lemon juice, 1 with white vinegar, 1 with salt water and 1 with nothing. I lefts the lids off so that the oxygen can get to the enzymes to make the apple go brown. It is fantasising to see the photos compered to each other. This is lots of fun and can't wait to see what happens next.
Have you ever seen mold on a apple?

The Train of leaves๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿƒ

Kia ora bloggers!
What have you been doing today?
Well my country is back in lock-down, so there has been lots of zoom calls.
One of the tasks are teacher gave us was 10 mins of free writing about a picture which you can find on the slide. Me and my friend, Annabel worked on it together. We called it "The Train Of Leaves".
We chose this name because it was a old overgrown area with a train track running though it. My favourite line in the story is "the birds chirping flooded my ears." If me and Annabel would be to do it again then I would probably start it off differently by putting in some onomatopoeia in but other wise I like the story as it is.
Have you ever seen a over grown train track?

Ouch! A jellyfish!๐Ÿ™

Kia ora bloggers!
Erina here,
How has your week been going?
Well mine's been filled with bright and bubbly activities.
This week I finished of one of my reports .
At my school we are doing report writing, we got to choose a topic about anything we wanted to write a report on.
I chose a jellyfish.
First I wrote the report on a doc then transported the paragraphs one by one on to a slide . (Which you will be seeing) . The reason I did this is because in my opinion I think slides look better than docs.
Back to the topic though , we were doing information reports and I chose to do it on jellyfish and seahorses. This is only the jellyfish slide but I will eventually get the seahorse one on too.
If you have look though the slide you can find some different facts about jellyfish.
Have you ever been stung by a jellyfish?
 If you have what kind?
until next time!

Length, Area and Perimeter Madness!!✖️➕➖➗

Kia Ora Bloggers!
Erina here!
How has your week been going?
Well mines been jam packed with lots of different activities.
We have been doing writing, reading and maths.
My personal favourite was maths. We were learning about the volume of a 3d shape.
You measure the volume of a 3d shape by timing's the Height, Length and width.
For example if we had a 2 by 2 by 2 shape we would times 2 x 2 x 2 which equals 8 , so the volume of the shape would be 8cm cubed.
We had lots of these tasks and they were fun to do .
If you look in the slide you will see all of my workings out.
Some of these I did not solve by myself the teacher helped me out but most of them I did by myself.
Have you ever tried to measure an object?
If you have tell me what it was?
Until next time!

Remarkable Rembrandt๐Ÿ–Œ️๐ŸŽจ

๐Ÿ˜Kia ora bloggers!๐Ÿค—
๐Ÿ‘‹Erina Here.๐Ÿ˜„
How has your week been going?
Well mines been full of busy maths and literacy tasks.
This blog post is about an artist call Rembrandt.
He was an artist in the 1600 and was a dutch artist.
He was very famous at the time and still is now as he has gone down in history as one of the best dutch artist ever. He was most famous for his portraits but he had lots of other paintings that were very famous.
This was very fun because it had lots of research you had to do before you could make the slide, then right all of my findings down on a slide which is one of my favourite things to do.
If you have a look though the slide you will find out lots of fun facts about Rembrandt.
Do you like art?
If you do what painting are you most proud of?

Spectacular Syria!๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ท

Bonjour Bloggers,
Erina here,
What have you been doing this week?
Well I've been quite busy.
Literally.
Very busy.
Let me tell you why.
So this week we had a normal Monday and Tuesday but on Wednesday we had people from the court theatre came to our school and play some games with us.
Then on Thursday we had cross country!
(I came 7th)
But because on the court theatre day we could not have a normal day with reading writing and maths the teachers gave us a slide to work on throughout the day .
This slide had maths, writing and reading in it. One of the task was to study the country Syria.
I made a slide on Syria but some other people made sites or a doc.
This was really fun for me and I would be happy do it again .
Anyway this is the slide I made about Syria.
Do you know much about the country Syria?
What is your favourite landmark or building on slide?

Now that I've finished this animation stay tuned for the next animation about movements!
It was fun working with my friends together to create this animation!

๐Ÿ“’๐Ÿ“Lovely literacy

Kia ora Bloggers!
How has your day been going? What have you been doing?
Well this week I've done some reading and writing work that I would like to show you!
First off we read a story called "In the End" which is a war story.
The story was a bit like a comic, I did not like it very much but I still read it. When we had read thorough the story we answered the questions about the story. Once we had done that we did the create task, I did the piskel art on the solider which is on the 3rd slide down and the Canva.
If I were to do this again would read through the story maybe twice just so I understand it.

Have you used Piskel or Canva before?

How To Become a Profession Emailer!

Hidden word Starts with E ends with L

Kia ora Bloggers!!
How has your day been going!
Well today we have been learning how to send a good email.
First we watch to videos about this and then we did a task and I wrote a good email. Then we made it onto a google drawing and put an arrow to the things that are needed in a good email. Now I'm going to teach you what a good email is.

A good email always has a subject as you can see this email has a subject "Pets on public transport", then there is a greeting, to make a good email there must be a greeting.
Next is a reason our body I have labelled both to make it easier.
Then at the end of the email You have to say who the email is from this email is from me and my name is at the end.
If you are sending it to a teacher as (I did) Your name is a must have, for any email really.
That is what a good email needs.
I hope you learnt something from this.
What do you think should pets be allowed on public transport or not?
If you do why?
Until next time.
